    The aircraft wreckage is of DC-3 A65-75, which crashed here october 1956.

    Very quaint little town. Extremely important for its historical airport, which was the first International Airport in Australia. Also its use in WWII.

    Daly Waters is a real small community next to the Stuart Highway. It is famous for its pub which has a very relaxing and easy-going atmosphere. Next to the village is an old historic Aerodrome of 1929 vintage, it was actually Australia's first International Airport. Also played an important role during WWII. The hangar is the oldest one in the NT. The airport was closed in the 1970's, but occasionally it is still used. Landing procedures include an overflight of the Daly Waters hotel so pick-up will be arranged.

    Now the towns famous for its pub, good meals, and cold drinks, and quirky characters. The wall art is different to most pubs.
